Creating atmosphere.
Growing up in the vineyards of Germany's Kaiserstuhl region and now living in the tri-border area between Basel (CH), Grenzach-Wyhlen (GER) and Saint-Louis (FR), my surroundings have always shaped the way I see landscapes, light and atmosphere. Together with impressions from my travels, they form the foundation of my work.
I create paintings that balance abstraction and familiarity, inviting the viewer to pause rather than simply observe. Inspired by natural landscapes, changing light and personal experiences, each composition is designed to evoke a sense of stillness while leaving space for individual interpretation.
Every painting features a single realistic element within an atmospheric world. Rather than defining the story, it serves as an anchor. A quiet invitation to reconnect with a place, a memory or a feeling that is uniquely your own.
My intention is to create art that has presence without demanding attention. Paintings that complement refined interiors, bring a sense of calm and establish a personal connection with those who live alongside them.
